SPECIAL ALERT MEMORANDUM

In light of recent events concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19) Meherrin River Regional Jail is continuously monitoring and putting measures in place in conjunction with the Health Department for the safety of our employees, offenders, volunteers, contractors, visitors and families.

As a prevention measure, Meherrin River Regional Jail is cancelling all visitations until further notice. Visitation will resume as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you are encouraged to continue to visit your loved ones via the internet. To schedule an internet visit, please go to www.mrrj.org or visitation.mrrj.org. You can also call 434-949-6700 for assistance.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience and cooperation.

There are currently no known cases of COVID-19 in Meherrin River Regional Jail.

There’s a new way to video visit online that requires a new desktop application, GTL VisBridge. To download, please log into your visitor account at least 10 minutes before your next visit, select “Internet Visit Tester” from the menu bar, then follow the prompts.
